Since their start in 2010, The Jammy Dodgers have been bringing traditional Irish music with a novel twist to the Bay Area and beyond. From the high-energy driving rhythm of Irish jigs and reels to melodic airs and sean nós ('old style') songs (sung in both Irish and English), they stay well in touch with the roots of the music, while infusing it with their own special style. Their influences include Skara Brae, The Bothy Band, early De Dannan, Liz Carroll, Planxty, and bohola.

The band has performed at a number of notable events, including the Crossroads Irish-American Festival, the official San Francisco St. Patrick's Day celebration, the Sea Music Festival at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, and the Alameda Celtic Festival. They are regulars at The Plough and Stars in San Francisco, the first home of Irish music in the Bay Area.

Performances often feature special guest Dave Cory (on banjo, guitar, and mandolin),
